Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, along with injuries, account for more than 80% of deaths worldwide.

Cities across the globe are taking bold steps to prevent or delay these threats. From creating smoke-free spaces to enhancing air quality surveillance, three cities have been recognized by the Partnership for Healthy Cities for their outstanding efforts in preventing NCDs and injuries.
